About us

Beauty's Legacy is a volunteer led charity in the UK, locating and reuniting displaced pets - free of charge.

Established in April 2016 as an NPO, Beauty's Legacy became a registered charity (CCEW no. 1194186) in April 2021, relying solely on the support and kind donations, given by members of the public.

Our aim is to give owners of lost and stolen animals a structured plan of action, reliable resources, and manpower to help in their pet search.

Drawing from our established knowledge base, we raise awareness about good practice in animal welfare standards, pet theft and prevention.

Beauty's Legacy provides these services free of charge, and without prejudice. Pet safety and wellbeing are our top priorities, we're committed to bringing peace of mind to all pet owners.

Who was Beauty?

On the 17th April 2016 Beauty, a much loved elderly cat, went missing. Social media ranks pulled together in a bid to find Beauty, aged around 20 years.

Beauty was found seven days later, Sunday 24th April 2016.

Sadly, she died in her mum's arms that same day.

Along with precious memories, Beauty left a legacy. On the 25th April 2016 Beauty's mum, Lisa Dean, started a Facebook group in her memory.
