"Hoax calls and prank callers can be distressing and frightening, and are taken very seriously. Should you receive a call from somebody claiming to have your missing animal with no proof and you suspect a hoax call,  please report it immediately to your local police force via 101 and to Action Fraud on 03001232040

Never part with any money as a result of these phone calls, extortion is a criminal offence."

Who We Are

We are a 100% free of charge, registered charity, consisting of a team of volunteers who work across the UK alongside many other groups and agencies, including local authority dog wardens and pounds, police, liaison officers and animal welfare organisations.

We offer advice support and assistance to families of lost and stolen animals and work tirelessly to help reunite them whilst raising public awareness of pet theft, and the flaws in the current legislation surrounding microchipping law and pet theft law.

We are proud to welcome our new patron, conservationist, environmentalist, animal advocate, author, and TV presenter Chris Packham CBE. We are also thrilled to announce we are winners of the 2023 Animal Star Awards  Special Recognition Award

Want to help?

We are always looking to recruit new volunteers with skills they can bring to the charity,  from owner support, marketing, fundraising, financial support and admin, to on the ground searching, postering, campaigning, drone pilots and trapping teams. If you have a couple of hours a week to spare, and access to the internet, to support us in our work please get in touch. We work entirely on a voluntary basis, we do not charge owners anything at all for our help, and any donations offered to us by owners are only accepted after the recovery of an animal and go straight into Beauty's Legacy towards the costs of trapping equipment, printing and laminating of posters, banners, petrol costs and the care and support of our families both during their ordeal and after their pets are reunited.

We promote animal welfare and will strive to ensure the safe rehoming of abandoned animals, privately surrendered animals and unclaimed animals, through reputable rescues with a network of home checked foster homes. Wherever possible deceased animals with no owner will be respectfully laid to rest. Government guidelines, DEFRA regulations and  animal welfare legislation is always adhered to and we strive to be the voice for the voiceless along with a support network to animal owners across the country.
